Oh man I have an awesome suggestion: emp! We can fire this device so then nor the enemy nor our troops will be able to use automatic weapons for some time. Our troops will have to result to handguns and other weapons.

ehh... i think i would add smoke grenades before that... maybe an anti tank weapon...

Also railguns could be described as oversized rifles. The theroy is that you use magnetic force to fire a Slug (or heavy round) at very high speeds. Anyone femiliar with Halo knows what a MAC gun is. A MAC gun fires heavy metal rounds that weight several tons if not even more. Thats basicly a oversized railgun.

To have infartry carry these weapons however... is questionable at the least.
The recoil shoud be extreme and a rifle should be able to kill another human just as quick. As a AT weapon... it may work. Think of it like a piece o metal the several times the size of a bullet flying at extreme speeds.

So orcman i know ur just nine but if you can comprehend with this info that would be nice. And no i didnt read this of Wiki im just like weapons and experimenral Weapons very much. The theroes for making a railgun is alredy worked out.

Oh yeah heres a rough descriprion from wiki

A railgun is a purely electrical gun that accelerates a conductive projectile along a pair of metal rails using the same principles as the homopolar motor.

Railguns use two sliding or rolling contacts that permit a large electric current to pass through the projectile. This current interacts with the strong magnetic fields generated by the rails and this accelerates the projectile. The U.S. Navy has tested a railgun that accelerates a 7 pound bullet to seven times the speed of sound.

Flamethrowers are VERY effective, but they are one shot weapons (like IRL), so after, the flamethrower unit is left with a pistol and knife.

Rail guns will only be on vehicles, if i decide to put em in. They are tempting, as i dont even have to do recoil animations.

NextGens are not zombies, they are just in charge of maintaining the quarantine, and recovering any specimen's from with in the quarantine area for research. They arent 'bad', but they will kill you on sight if you are within the restricted area.
They mostly have regular solders (not nextgen) handling the parameter with heavy battle tanks and helicopters, as there are only 100 nextgens in the first campaign.
A squad of 5 nextgens will be like a mini boss; they will usually be squads of one nextgen and 4 regulars.

you know how you said that there would be scenes where the characters would "talk" will it be done Advance wars Days of ruin style?

I never played the single player campaign in AW:DOR, but the dialog shows your characters face talking, with text along the bottom of the screen.

What happened to the bear traps idea? Is it implimented in the game or not?

Im for it, but not for the first campaign... you will have claymores and such, being special forces.

I might put them in as orbital weapons, too... no recoil to throw off the orbit... and it don't need air to work, ether... Hammer of dawn stylez.

Also did you add room to room fighting or not. You seem to be talking about putting units in buildings so i guess it could work? you talked about this before.

Yep. although the room-to-room is all automated. You will see all the action in the windows of the buildings... It will look very cool, though, don't worry.

Oreo, Flamethrowers are not one-shot weapons in real life. They work by spraying a kind of Gasoline Jelly and igniting it just before it leaves the nozzle. They were mainly used to clear trenches and bunkers, and they could also destroy a tank if the flamethrowerman got close. The man had to carry a massive tank on their back, which would let the flamethrower last until it could be refueled, which was usually at the end of the current assualt or skirmish. The tanks were so heavy when they were full, that the man couldn't even carry a pistol and had to rely on his flamethrower for the entire battle.

The flamethowers used in WW2 had a spray time of <7 seconds. You could fire multiple bursts if you were shooting little spurts, but thats about it.

Unless there is some modern flamethrower... I don't think any army has been developing flamethrowers for awhile...

I'm not %100 sure on how the flamethrowers will work, yet... Im till trying to make the nextgens strong, but not TOO strong... WAY harder then it should be.

Hi, I just have a quick suggestion.
I was playing AW1 and I looked at the carbine, and if you could, please make the magazine on it straight, the curve on it makes it look.......ugh.... kinda gay, make it look the M14

You wont HAVE to equip that weapon in AW2... although it will be around...

Yep, although you will only be able to use them in certain situations.

Frag-Used in point-blank firefights
Flash-Used in take downs (storming a building)
Smoke-Used when retreating to cover your escape

Your men will use grenades automatically, so you can focus on the creamy visuals. Im not sure if all of them will make it into the first campaign, though.

No, but you can enter nearby buildings for cover if you have no vehicle.

Hey oreo47 you should also add the tanks and vehicules from the first aurtumn war in the second one. Just make a few adjustments here and there and add some animation and there you have it. 6-7 more tanks in the second one.

Nah, the graphics for the old vehicles are way too crappy... I have like 7 different kinds of tanks, 2 APC (with variations), 3 helicopter, 2 humvee, and a few more on the way.
