It seems weird to put loads of effort into a project and just stop because of funding from a sponsor. To be honest It's would have got to the point where there is so much high demand I'd just release it for free. But even so can't believe he just gave up.

Guess you're right. There isn't anything to say anymore. I liked AW and I visit often his page hoping to see the second one released one day. At least let's hope Oreo47 is fine and that someday he's going to release it. That's all I had to say. Oreo47, hope you're reading all these comments and make everybody happy by releasing this AW2.
