Wait I remember reading about you waiting to add room to room fighting. Did you? What are the weapons in the game. I remember reading something from one of your posts about the unnamed organization that wants to capture the witches are you able to play them in the game?

I have the concept for room to room done... now i just gotta do the work.

The nextgens are the secret organization. Technically, they are a subfaction of the military, so you will be able to work with them.

mass efect is awsome even though the cutscenes get unnoying

oh and can the zombies actauly infect soliders and turn them into zombies like in halo and the flood

The witch is the only unit that can make zombies, although it can 'project' it's mind in to several zombies (lieutenants), which are in turn able to make zombies, although at a much slower rate.

Could you give the Mechs Dual machineguns and shoulder mounted AntiAir Missiles? And ill get my goliaths from Starcraft

Most vehicles can be customized... mechs and some other super weapons will have missile pods, which can be loaded with tactical missles (like artillery), AA, and AT. They will also have machine guns, not that the infantry will want to get that close...

Question when you say Mechs do you mean Bazooka units or that huge behemoth from the first game? Cuz i play Advanced Wars days of ruin......... This message was left a 7:38 pm in BC time

I mean giant robot... I didn't like advanced wars days of ruin: the infantry animations were pretty stale compared to the GBA versions... although the first advanced wars is easily my favorite strategy game. I still play it (if only it were multiplayer like the DS one).

You know, this is starting to sound like a REALLY advanced flash game, you could probably make this into a real game and sell it on Xbox Live Arcade, now that would be awesome.

Yea... if i did it for the xbox live, I would make it a multiplayer based game. If only someone would give me a studio and team to make it happen. In the mean time, NG is just fine.

Yay...... Poor conscrtipts facing dual HMGs ;P.... so you can recostumize your tanks after they have beed built/ordered? Also you said 2 months on the first campaign about over a month ago can you keep that? not that it realy matters i have my hands full with bladestorm ;P

Awesome! Anyway it sounds awesome. BUT I have one question the churches only super weapon is the witch hunter!!! What about the paladins or knights?
Or a anti-zombie missile that affects a large radius. Sorry not to be a pain but really kinda 20% stupid sorry but it should be a little different.

One of chuches greatest advantages is they are on good terms with all other human factions, so they can requisition tanks and artillery from the army, or fire teams and technical squadrons from the rebels, and conscripts or whatever from the town they're in.
The army does have way better superweapons and units, but because everyone thinks the army is somehow responsible for the outbreak, they are usually not welcome in neutral towns unless they can prove that they are there to help. Plus the gas it takes to operate a super weapon could fuel a small squadron of tanks.

I have come up with more cool names for certain missions: gorilla tactics, massive advance, desperate ambush, painful retreat, cover position, cataclismic assault, ennemy at the gates (this is actually a movie, about Stalingrad and the Germans trying to conquer it) anyways, I;ll come up with more; beginnings of a war, unresponsive allies, assault from below, assault from above, demonic razing, etc..

Hmm... yea, having a list certainly wont hurt, but i don't have all the missions layed out yet.

Personnally i like advanced wars days if ruin MECH units they look preaty cool .... anyways ... soo will the mech unit be the same animations from the fist one?

No, im giving it 4 legs, like an AT-AT. I want to have mechanics and firing crews visible; loading rounds, putting out fires... stuff like that. The 2 leg format just doesn't have enough room unless I make it WAY bigger, and i want you to be able to see the infantry defiantly firing up at it as they get cut down by the miniguns. Yes, that's right. miniguns. sweet.

One thing that I LOVE about days of ruin is the online multiplayer. If only I had a DS.

So around when is the game coming out?

For your minigame just take wisp and add a few things to it and subit, and you have a new game and a thousand bucks! :D

Im using the AW prototype engine for the minigame. It will have the same ghostly character from wisp, but it will be a action game. If people like it, i might include something like it for AW3, but probably not.

are there gonna be any levels like the one in aw1 when everyone just retreats,if so that sucks!

There will be some levels where retreating is the only smart thing to do, but it wont game over unless your character is killed. I intentionally made the later missions nearly impossible... Just keep playing till you win... and remember you can skip missions in AW1 by pushing the 'M' key, and skip battles by clicking the character portrait.

I have beat mission 8 *once* without skipping battles, just to make sure it was possible... took me like 50 tries, but the last level in ANY game should take no less than that, in my opinion.

Oh how about a mission where wer have to secure a bridge and not let the ennemy pass and the zombies charge and they collide with the bridge which inevetibly falls, goes crushing down into a river or something.

There wont be missions so much as areas, you will be able to do a few different mission/quest types whenever you want. Getting survivors to safety, securing xenos and witches for nextgen study, assisting military sorties, etc. There will be a few story quests, but they can be handled how ever the player wants. Bridge or no bridge. Just easier to program it this way.
The scenarios will have four or five areas each, each one about 10x10 kilometers. This will give the player room to be stealthy, even if they are driving (to a much lesser extent then foot, mind you).

Well you said the Mech would have engineers working on top of Mech wouldn't it put the engineers in danger?

The mechs are over 20 meters tall... it is open-top, but the only units that can fire directly on the firing deck are helicopters. Tanks and infantry can only hit the hull.

When you said battle rifle it's not the halo one right?

Not sure... i haven't played halo for along time. Battle rifle is semi-auto 7.62 mm.

Yea... a team would be fun, but unless everyone is getting payed and is happy, it usually slows down the process. Still... even someone getting stock art would save alot of time.

also have u read The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z? they are by max brooks nd they are about zombies

I remember i happened opun the zombie survival guide in my friends room... I did not put it down till like 5 am the following morning. Most of the stuff i agree with... although his praise of the shaolin spade is kinda wierd... you cant really use those things indoors, and forget trying to fit them into a small vehicle. Nunchaku FTW!

I have that book it's awesome hey Oreo you could add some of that books text in the game or something. Back to business 3 things:

1.) could you add like aliens
2.) what about the basic flood form in the game
3.) I watch a ton of zombie movies so um could you add zombie controlled vehicles

1) Well, im going to leave the origins of the whole zombie effect obscure, so you are free to speculate about aliens...
2) What, like halo? Nah. the rules for the zombie effect are pretty much solid now.
3) If the witch has fed on enough minds, nearby zombies can operate firearms and vehicles, but only to transport/guard the witch.

Don't worry about it... although adding the flood and stuff like that does make about zero sense...
