can you put A.A. turrent?

even also 1 more weapon to do with you, M16A1. Can you post it? IN http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M16A1#XM 16E1_and_M16A1

even did you put in rocket launcher and RPG, can you also have anti-air.

is there air units, like jetsfigter, bomber, and helicopter to put in.

On the first picture ( top right ) is the first church preson holding a railgun?

does it has limit days for the death?

there are SAMs, but no AA

im going to be putting in LAW, and SA-7 in addition to RPG. LAW is so recon can have anti armor ability, but is single shot.

the air units are going in. at least 3 kinds of chopper, although planes you don't directly control, but rather get support from.

It's a next gen with a rail gun. The railgun can fire charged shots (anti armor), burst shot (heavy machine gun), and plasma (flamethrower). It will automatically switch between depending on target and range.

could you rephrase the last question?

hey oreo how you doin with the game?are there helicopters in there to move your troops and the witchs can they take over your men with enough power? and you said somthing about zombies looking diffrent from each other? but can you tell me how long till your done with the game? can you go to surviveing towns and they pay you to clear the area? i cant wait till it out please answer?

choppers can move troops, and provide close air support. witches sortof can... you will have to wait and see. zombies have varied looks. sooner or later. yes, and other quests, too.

to answer one of joe's questions to save oreo time, the first picture when you asked about the rail gun, well i believe oreo said that rail guns were only going on vehicles, and also, those are next gens, you can tell by the red capes on their backs, church are going to have 30 people per squad and usually have melee weapons but you have the choice of giving them a new weapon

Forgot a few more question,

Is AW2 downlown, Is it in full sceen, do you have to enable direct3d and directdraw?

Will it be in Xbox or any video game console?

I use a progam called swfXXL i think. Makes it run full screen without any extra slowdown. I don't really understand what a direct X is, but i like it.

I'll try putting it on consoles when im done with the first campaign, provided it's an easy process.

wait, so is the rail gun plasma stronger than the flamethrower? wow i'd love to suit up an entire squad with those, it's like an anti-everything gun. now all you need is a space marines faction. =P also, can the rail gun shoot down helicopters? by the sounds of the word rail gun, it makes me think that it's a one hit kill. Also i don't know if you'd like to take a look into this or not, but the very first "rail gun" i believe was made by the germans during WW2. though they weren't too effective, had to be transported by train, and the barrel usually fell off after the first few shots, but the results were something you couldn't argue with, one round was bigger than the average human.

Even for the nextgens, railguns are VERY rare, rarely more than one/squad. They are a good anti-everything weapon, but the M60 is a bit better for suppressing, a cluster of RPGs better at (close) anti armor, but plasma is one of the stronger melee attacks, capable of immolating multiple units.
The railgun can take out low-flying helicopters, but is only so-so vs heavy tanks. LAVs and such are one hit kills, however.

the last you want me to repeat,

what is the limit time for death of every sqaud, for example, your at day 1 then you have 5 days before all the squads die.

hmm, the question is still a little unclear, but if you're asking story-wise, you will have to wait and see.

oooopppps i for got 1 question,

how many types of controls to do with the squad?

There are the 5 basic ones from AW1, but you can also command supressing fire, along with a few others. I want the game to play it's self as much as possible, so you can sit back and watch your plans unfold, so things like grenades will automatically be used when necessary, and your characters will switch weapons when appropriate.

commander7890:
The rail gun you refer to is a different kind. They called them rail guns because they were so damn large, they had to be transported on railroads and recoiled for hundreds of feet. They were actually first utilized in WW1.
Just think of them as HUGE artillery pieces on railroads.

I believe the weapon oreo47 means in a sci-fi rail gun. Basically, they use a magnetic accelerator to fire a projectile (usually contained plasma or some kind of heavy metal) at super high velocities. They have been made, but so far they are less efficient then firearms.

Ah, just go the easy way and blow the crap out of structures? :D

So what kind of shotgun are you really aiming for? The stereotypical "hunting" shotgun, your average tac shotgun, or a somewhat futuristic one?

Do you want me to actually find the DS specs for you then?

Yea, i thought of a way to make the buildings exploding to look good. An RPG will usually only blast a big hole in the house, killing 2-3 inf. A 100mm shell will usually reduce the house to rubble. The particle effects will let me have splinters of wood flying off, smoldering debris, smoke and dust, etc.

Urban environments give infantry the option to disengage and retreat at any time, so you can't rely on tanks and stuff for actually capturing a city. Infantry are the only ones capable of locking down and clearing structures.

average tac shotgun. most of the weapons for the military are common military-esque grade. I might make a shotgun module for the 50. cal carbine, but it has the chainsaw, and i imagine most players will prefer that to anything else.

Meh, don't bother with the DS specs; i can look em up in like 2 secs. Thanks, anyways, though.

Hey Oreo47, please do not leave us for another 2-3 months. Instead try posting every week or so. It doesn't even have to be news or pictures. Just something so we know your not gone lol.

yep, i'll try.

wait a second,
were there barricades in AW2?
can a person hold 2 guns?
can you tell me wat vehicles are there?
you said they could take cover from fire, could a soldier also hide.
what was the intro like?
how many mission are there? AW1 has 7 mission.
will there be vampire and devil.

1)yes, but im not sure if they will make it in to the first campaign.
2)a certain hero unit does, but regular troops do not.
3)lots
4)the smaller a squad is, the better it is at sneaking. Special forces will often move in squads of 1-3. Fire teams will want squads of 3-5.
5)artsy fartsy
6)there will be a few towns, a couple cities, and a bunch of villages and military bases. Going speed wise, you can get through the campaign in about 10 battles, but for the good ending, it will probably take over 50.
7)The witch is kinda like a vampire, xeno kinda like devil.

MUST resist asking questions that have probably been asked before!
1. HAY! is that a girl in the top right corner of the pics?
2. is it moar goary (gorey) (goreish)
3. so when a guy gets bitten he turns into 1 of them?
4. i know loads of people ask this buuuut when is it done? even if it's a rough date like 2 months or 1 month.

I AM NOT WORTHY

*bows*

*sees that there is still a guy bowing next to him*

HOBBITS WHERE?!

1. she is from the AW beta. kinda like jill valentine / rebecca chambers.
2. Bodies explode when hit hard enough. There are chainsaws.
3. No.
4. Wish I knew. Really, i do.

I think your doing a great job on the game but I think you should stop adding content, 10 mb is a pretty big game already...

When i compress the file, it drops to about 8mb, and 15 is the limit i'm allowing for myself.

Nice work oreo!

But..what are the separate factions in the game? Kinda makes me think of Warhammer 40k... (Imperial Guard, Space Marines, Chaos-Nurgle...Eldar...witches and psykers..)

Military - imperial guard
Nextgen - space marine
milita - imperial guard, minus the tanks.
church - ordo mallius, but poorly equipped
raiders - orks
zombies - just zombies
witches - chaos/dark eldar (tezneech/nurgle)
xeno - chaos (korn or whatever the bloodthirster one is)

not that I play warhammer or anything... heh.

hey i looked up more information, as it turns out the germans during world war 2 actually worked on both the huge artillery weapon designed for destroying bunkers that needed to be transported by train, as well as the sci-fi rail gun that is electronically powered, they were both very large though, and the electronic rail guns were planned to be set up in groups of six or twelve(can't remember which one) and they would act as anti-air, though the power to use them was too much for the germans so they were never able to use them on the battlefield((i believe each one needed enough energy to power half of chicago)) but yes, the german anti-bunker weapon was tested in battle, the germans however destroyed both of theirs to prevent the russians from getting them, i think that would be a good idea, for town siege if you're unable to get through outer-city defences(though do make sure the abrrel doesn't fall off if you decide to put it in =p)

There will be super weapons, so i might put those things in, but there are some cooler things that are going in first...

Cool, thanks for the reply man.

Are any of the factions actually allied with each other?

Depending on the situation, almost any faction will ally with any faction. Each town will also have a presence of all factions; even military controlled towns will still have a few raiders (mafia?), moving illegal goods that the player may need, and raider controlled towns will have military (double) agents, that may want the player to gather info and evidence.
If you play the game right, you can even do missions for the witch, but if discovered, you will be branded as an enemy of humanity. That's bad, but you can still complete the game.

AH.....

I'm guessing that the church will most likely not ally with the witches and the zombies huh?

Never underestimate the witch...

This is something I was curious about the whole time. If you're men are overwhelmed by zombies, I know you said before that the witch turns them into zombies, is there any way to let them off themselves it the situation gets hopeless?

Well, maybe make it a masterkey accessory for the standard M16.
I mean, regardless of the cool factor of the chainsaw, the fact is; you can use a shotgun from farther away then a chainsaw. It'd kinda balance the two rifles out in terms of options and such.

Yep. Cleanup in that kind of situation is a bitch too. ESPECIALLY room clearing.
We ran a airsoft game a while ago with opposing human factions and zombies, it was fun stuff. When you get to the "bombed out" scenery (not literally bombed, a part of the field was designed to look destroyed) though, its just damn creepy. The people playing zombies inevitably set up ambushes in the rubble, and the flashlights swinging everywhere (we don't allow NVGs) cast some eerie shadows. You start thinking that somebody is behind every single piece of rubble and such, and you don't even have enough ammo to really check.
No 40mms or squad autos with us at the time too, all we could really do was haul ass to the "extraction" point.

The other day, we had a mout game. I played in alot of room clearing stuff. Ironically, a handgun proved to be supperior to both rifles and shotgun.
Of course, machine pistols still reigned >_<

In terms of video games and real life though, I guess a handgun's easy handling would not negate the fact that they don't do crap to body armor.
Shotguns rule in that case :D

Some will, others will retreat, others will be be too injured to escape.

I have an idea for the m16 to make the attachment thing work; shotty, and 40mm grenades should be in. Just a matter of animating it properly...

None of my friends are into airsoft... and I can't afford the paintball kit that i want (close to $1000). Still, exercises like that are sooo fun.

The pistol will be quite effective in this game, and is quieter than the mp5-SD, when suppressed.

If every faction a WH40k equivalent, wouldn't the Militia be more like the PDF than the IG?

PDF?

Hahahaha...darn Eldar!

Well, I suppose militia would be like PDF then.

Hmm.....I think the Church would be more like the Redemptionists. In 40k, those guys wear KKK outfits and are pretty much anti-Chaos in their mission, and they're fanatical but poorly armed.

Eldar... PURGE THE WITCHES!

Depending on the ingame economy, the church may be well funded, in which they become like the sisters of battle (good equipment, regular humans, religious), but if poorly funded, then they are like redemptionists.

He he he he answered my questions i can't believe it wow an important person just typed to me i think im gonna faint

U R A GOD
