I hope AW2 has a realistic M-16, every game i've found so far seems to think that it's low on firepower just because it can't out-penetrate 30-6 or the AK. When it isn't made for such a role. In reality, while not the biggest caliber out there, the m-16s bullet is still military grade ammunition, the thing is as big as your thumb.
I also want (but don;t expect) an AR-15. This is basically an M-16variant that is authorized for civilian sale (So the church can have some) it is semi-automatic, doesn't have the same modular ability as the military version, but is somewhat more accurate, also with a handful of easily attainable parts it can be turned into a fully automatic weapon. Just field strip it and replace the action and put a couple of tweaks in the receiver.
What I do expect is the M-1 Garand. Owning both an AR-15 and an M-1 Garand, I can tell you that the rifle of the greatest generation of Earth is still one of the best available weapons on it. While it doesn't have the same suppression or tough, simple, fast, furious use of the famous modern day (American/Russian) assault rifles, it has an amazing elegance to it.
namely: you aim, you shoot, if you did step one right it goes through the first thing in its way... through the enemy's cover... along with the other flying bits and pieces of the first thing in youre way, then through the enemy, then through the back of the enemy (unless they wear body armor, then it just rattles around for a while) and lodges itself about 6 inches in whatever is behind them.
By contrast, hopefully none of the outlandish claims that Europe makes about its weaponry will be taken too seriously, they can't actually make a weapons grade laser (we can:) ) and their famous smgs and assault weapons are of a pathetic UN caliber that doesn't even effectively penetrate my wooden backdrop (I can't use it with American Military weapons because they would obliterate it within the first clip) What the Brits might be good for is fast attack vehicles. Give them a controlled battlefield and they do pretty well, but they can't reshape it like the biggest dogs.
Two flaws with the garand.
1. Six round clip
2. the very audible *DING* that lets the other guy know when you have to reload.
The *DING* is normally when you are taking out a clip, So it makes the enemy stick there head out.
Also the M16 has been named the worst assault rifle in history due to it's difficulty of use and its over complicated mechanisms, the M16A2 is OK but still not very good.
m16, burst fire weapon that's expensive and easy to jam. It's rival, the AK, is a fully automatic, high caliber rifle that is very difficult to jam and is relatively cheap.
They are also easy to find, over 20 countries use the AK in there military and nearly twice that use a modification of that.

I'm really looking forward to play this game. I have been playing Autumn War for many years and I loved it. Will 30 zombies be a piece of cake with 3 PRH-7s and a small truck? I sjure hope not. Since I managed to hold my ground with a squad like that for about 5 minutes. Also I hope the squads have a wide variety of weapons. Sinced watching 3 guys with RPG-7s annihilate 30 charging zombies in 30 seconds was boring. But I would sure love to have the possiblity of encountering 70 zombies. I hope thisd doesn't end as a rip off from Left For Dead since I've seen some games like that. I found out about 1 month ago about this game. I saw that you were about 90% done back in 2007, which is 3 years ago :s. Since you started using a new engine, do you have to start over? I sure hope not, since I'm an impatient person. I might only be able to wait for 4 months, but I don't know how some people managed surviving 3 years. I find it quite amazing. I find the fact that the unnamable person (did I write it correct? I'm not a native English speaker) stopped spamming without crying great, too. He was really getting on my nerves. I'm getting a bit bored writing this which actuzally took me 10 minutes, so that's all I got to say. I'm pretty disappointed at the lack of a new trailer & reñease date though.
