2 months is nothing. he was gone for at least 6 in post 9

Journal entry #22
Riker has left the land scorched and burned. Thanks to him a war broke out destroying our world. WMD's were used and... and nothing is left. Band's of survivors have grouped up in the deserts that used to be the jungles, forests... oceans of this planet.
Some of us have gone mad. Not even forming words at this point. There not dangerous yet but I have made a fallback position in case something happens.
No signs of raider's but the tumbleweed population is growing. I think they are preparing for attack. A few hundred have amassed on our North side.
God help me.

Sammys log:
Entry 32
By god it happened, yesterday the tumbleweeds came in and attacked us. God I can still remember them, picking us off one by one. For the first few hours it looked as if we could hold them off. But there were so many of them and they just kept on comming. Soon the tumbleweeds surrounded us. Some of us tried to escape but those who did were quickly tumbled on. It looked like all hope was lost. But luckily Echo came and rescued us, togther we managed to fight them off. But we suffered many casualties, now it's peaceful and quiet but I don't know how long it will stay like this. I can just hope reinforcements from oreo's division arrive before the next horde of tumbleweeds attack.

-Sammyfun-

P.S. I've just learned that my wife was killed in a raider attack.

Log of William Hemata(me):

2 months minus one day since last Oreo post.

My platoon ran across some trouble today, a war-band of tumble weeds snuck up on us as we were moving around a large mountain. Zulu squad got hit hard and lost a few of their men, we redistributed the ammo of the fallen after fighting off the tumbleweeds. We're getting closer to the distress signal that we picked up.(from echoe and sammy) We were running low on ammo and some men even had to resort to using crude blades to fight with. We've found that the tumbleweeds have a particular distaste for napalm, and small groups will usually flee at the first signs of fire. We're running out of fuel for the flamers now, can only hope the men who set out the distress signal have ammo and supplies, otherwise we might not survive the week.

(on an out of character note, echo and sammy are geniuses for coming up with this, this is a nice little roleplayable thing to keep us entertained xD even if it is incredibly silly with tumbleweeds)

Hello this is Sammy from 31st division calling to any friendly forces out there. I repeat this is Sammy from 31st division calling to any friendly forces out there.
Things are getting pretty hellish out here. We are running low on supplies from ammo to toilet paper. The moral of the men is quickly deteriorating
some are talking about mutny and some have ran away. Whats worse Echo has been wounded in a recent tumble weed attack. Also the tumble weed attacks have been growing more and more numerous but are relitively small attacks and for the most part we've been able to fend them off. I estimate that in 2 weeks we will all be dead. I can only hope someone comes soon.

Radio response: 1300 hours, 3 months since last response from Oreo.

Sammy, this is Will, we have a lock on your coordinates and en-route to your position. We have also been experiencing the same difficulties as you have and are dangerously low on napalm and water, which right now are the two most essential things we have. If you haven't found out already, flamers work increasingly well, and have a large effect on the tumbleweeds' morale. We were heading to a spot on the other side of the desert, an old town before everything went to hell. Hopefully there will be drinkable water there, ammunition, medical supplies and enough to make some more napalm. If all hopes stand tall, might find some working vehicles, but we'd need enough to fit all of my men, and apparently all of yours as well. They also would need to be fuel efficient, i'm not wasting potential ammo for the flamers just so we can get somewhere faster. Dead is dead, and no flamethrowers in this harsh world will almost certainly mean death. If we find enough supplies there than we could hopefully dig in for a small while just to dig up all that we can, a city would be much easier to defend. Unfortunately we do not have the water to make it that far. Do you have enough to travel that far? I'm sending the coordinates to it now as well.

Coming with some medical supplies and reinforcements,
Captain William Hemata.

Da, this is Belaris, over. I have a UMP loaded with fuel and ammo, along with enough water and food for all, over. Need confirmation of a landing site and protection from the tumbleweeds, they are following us on the ground, over. A horde well into the hundreds has been trailing us all day and my men can't pick off many, over. We had to leave Alpha squad and half of Beta in order to clear a path for takeoff, and they will be missed, over.

Journal entry #23

I am the leader now. After half of us were killed I was nominated. More then half the group have gone mad mumbling and screaming to someone who is not there. Sammy was nearly killed by one but... I shot the bastard in between the eyes. The tumbleweeds are at bay. After one of the crazy lit himself on fire and ran at them yesterday we realized they had a weakness to fire. Our medical ward is destroyed so the wounded are mostly shot if there injuries are too severe. Some how they took up using vehicles. Tanks and jeeps now ride at us firing smaller tumble weeds. I retreated back to my base with the others. Sammy fun, and three other men. We are not safe here and we were going to move south but reports of raiders have surfaced. We are low on ammo and fuel. The remains of the army have made contact with us though. But all they are are survivors. Nothing more nothing less. They hold no power now.

I also fear the tumbleweeds are to much for them. They seem to regenerate by... by eating the dead and the living all the same. I still hear the screams of those I left behind. I wish I could save them but I know I must stay here for now.

Radio transmission 1947 hours, responding to helicopter transmission. Near distress signal origin. (I couldn't find a vehicle under the name of UMP, but i found the mechanical idea that makes a helicopter flies called a UMP)

Belaris, good to hear from you, i'm afraid that until you shake them off, we can't give you the landing coordinates. There's quite a few wounded here as it is, and it wouldn't be the smartest of ideas to fight a group of tumbleweeds in the hundreds. Confirm your class of UMP and any possible alternative safe landing points, over. Captain Hemata, out.

(hey guys ^_^ liking this so far, some things that i'm noticing here. There seems to be a tad bit of godmoding in our little rp here, and i'd like to change this. Things i think should be instated for all of this:
1. No making events of other characters here, just your own character and the men following him/her
2. No claiming of titles, i think that both out of character and in character it should be a council, with votes. we vote if we go to the city, we vote if we stay, winning vote makes the decision.
3. Switch this from tumbleweeds to Oreo's zombie idea ^_^ to get us more hyped for the game when it eventually comes out, and possibly a feel for the gameplay.

Ok, that's all from me on what i think should go into effect =D everyone who's participating i would like it if you gave me your opinion on all this, if you disagree with my ideas than please state why and what you think would work better. ^_^)

Radio: Spec. Farley here. Pardon the intrusion, but I have a small squadron of men with an armored transport vehicle. We have been out of communication range, so If we could be of service, please let us know.

((Commander, this is aimed at you.))

(hooray for aiming stuff at me \o/)

Radio Response: Affirmative, get your men over the coordinates Delta20176, we're just about there, we also have a UMP looking for a spot to land, but is being followed by a large band of tumbleweeds(hopefully will be turned to oreo's idea of zombies ^_^) See you soon than, Captain Hemata, out.

Commando it's not a real RP it is just us joking around.
I got the idea from post 9 I think.

DON'T RUIN IT WITH YOUR OVER COMPLICATED D&D RULES!

And who else is gonna be a leader?
And there are hundreds upon thousands of weeds and one other active char at my position I'm gonna take him with me.

(I like not using saammys name ^_^

Clarification (commander): I have one UMP class delta (may be incorrect but going to assume it is a large cargo helicopter akin to Chinook) with 200 pounds food, 100 gallons water, 130 gallons fuel (for both helicopter and flamethrowers), 2000 rounds 7.62 x 39, 540 rounds .22, 22 rounds 12 gauge, 10 fully stocked first aid stations, and one solar/battery powered combat radio, over. Also have 5 of my personal men, along with one refugee family (father, son, and wife) we rescued at the start of this accursed outbreak, all armed with standard issue carbines, pistols and one day's supplies in packs, over. Also have six or seven machetes, the father's shotgun, and the boy's hunting rifle, over. With respect to your decline, we have made contact with both you and Hemata and we are what seems like your last best hope. If you give us your coordinates, we can drop in enough water for both of you to reach the town while keeping the tumbleweeds at bay, over. There, with the much needed help of Farley's squad, we can make a stand, over. Regardless of your decision, we will be heading to the abandoned town as it seems to be our best chance for a safe landing, over.
~Belaris

(i think everyone should list supplies so we have something to work with, btw (and i like the zombie idea but tumbleweeds are fine too (and no vehicle tumbleweeds please)))

Sammy's log
Entry 62

What a day, it seems Echo wasn't a great person as I thought. I turn my back for a second and he tries to kill me, luckly I managed to escape with only a small grazing wound. Now all I have is a small knife and the clothes on my back . Anyway things seem to be getting desperate for everyone the raiders seem to be killing their own members less people to share supplies the more for the rest of em'. The tumble weeds also have been growing less and less in numbers. Now my main priority is to find some food and a means to contact
William.

-Sammy-

P.S. The crazies seem to be getting smarter and smarter.

(note that sammy finds along with a cell phone, two water bottles, and pistol with 1 extra clip)

heard from echo, why did you not return from scouting? saw you in distance and attached this to big @$$ paper airplane. number for our cell is 000-0000.

(u arent starting a war among us that easy, just now gearing up for big battle)

Out of character: let's not fight, tumbleweeds much worse enemy. however i see how this started and if u dont say u heard from so-and-so u shouldnt know what they know. sorry.

On an out of character note. Belaris I'm not trying to start a war Echo clearly dosen't want me to tag along and I'm fine with that. So if I had to leave why not add a plot twist.

Sammy's log

Thank the lord after wandering aimlessly for hours I came across David414 body next to a jeep. It seems the tumbleweeds got him. Anyway in the car I found 2 months worth of food, a millitary radio, a P90 with 2000 rounds, and most of all a full tank of gas. Tommorow I will be starting to send some more distress signals hopefully there is still other people TO rescuse me.

-Sammy-

P.S. I think I saw RIKER if so the end is near.

(if i wanted to put in D&D rules this would be VERY complicated. these are just some simple roleplay rules, that really should be respected in my opinion for even the smallest of roleplays. This is considered a roleplay because we are assuming the roles of characters in a scenario. So you say you want to be the leader? well here's an idea, instead of just claiming the title i would like there to be a few votes just for simplicity's sake.

first vote: Echo being leader and making all decisions in the storyline, or for there to be a council on this and all decisions are votes.
in OOC(out of character) please say "Echo" to vote for him being leader, or "Council" to vote for there to be a council.
second vote: Stick with tumbleweeds as the antagonists, normal Zombies, or Oreo's zombies. (or if you want to add in your own idea that's good too ^_^)

I'm not trying to ruin anything, but more so make things more fair. If you want to ignore my rules Echo than technically you are injured as sammy said you were, and thus in no way would really be elected for a leadership position in such a state. it's your guys' choice, i'm just trying to keep this fun, fair and good)

Comander if we had to vote it would kinda ruin the fun I mean if we all voted to go to some city then there would be no twist it would just be we all end up in the city.
Thourgh I agree we should all just stick with your character don't just makeup one.
Also tumbleweeds are funny all rpgs need some humor.
Now back to the story.
